Describe

The characteristic of  brocade fabric is colorful, diverse and extremely unique motifs. More specifically, the colors in  brocade fabric  are all from nature. To have such colors, ethnic minorities need to find the corresponding plants and flowers:

  • Red:  Use crushed Krung bark and then boil the water to get red color to dye the fabric.
  • Purple:  You can use purple cabbage, beetroot…
  • Yellow: Using the word turmeric
  • Black:   Soak the leaves of the gourd with young mud over a certain time.
  • Brown or dark red: Taken from the bark
  • Blue color:  Dry the shell of a stream snail, soak it into lime and then continue to soak it with indigo leaves to get the desired green color.
  • Red-brown color:  Use effervescent bark soaked in vinegar water. Boil for 3 hours and let cool. When dyeing and soaking, it is necessary to add alum to create a reddish brown color
